Free Family Festival

Come and join Ruthie and Angie who will be making, building and playing all Saturday on Pollination Street. Try and find a cosy hiding place in the willow den where you can weave your own colours and shapes into the willow, see what sounds you can make out of old junk – from rain makers to hooters and shakers, then join them again on Sunday to throw some shapes on the dance floor for the Family Folkie Disco!

Come-Bye!

By Happy Campers Theatre

Saturday 5th May, Pollination Street.

(2 shows- 12.15pm, 1.45pm)

This timeless story takes audiences on a journey through the British countryside. Shep lives on a farm. Every day he’s up with the sun to round up the sheep, it’s hard work and uneventful… until one day, he smells freedom in the air. In hot pursuit of a drifting leaf, Shep decides to venture out beyond the boundaries of the farm, and our adventure begins! A fun show for all the family with live music and audience interaction, “Come-bye!” is a wistful summer treat.

The story is largely told through the use of puppetry and physical comedy and we welcome very young children, non-English speakers and deaf audience members. “Come-bye!” evokes the spirit of the British summer and is a one-of-a-kind experience for young and old alike!

When? What? Where? Who-dini?

By Isaac Hughes-Dennis

Saturday 5th May, Pollination Street.

A ramshackle adventure featuring local vagabond, scoundrel and all-round troublemaker Isaac Hughes-Dennis with his ludicrous showcase of strange and mysterious items he has picked up on his time travelling journeys. Magical items for the young and old alike, you are bound to be left confused and bemused and ever so slightly underwhelmed…
