Venues and accessibility

Our events take place in a number of locations around the town:

We aspire to be as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you need further information please email todmordenfolkfestival@gmail.com

Level Access

All our venues and box offices have level access and are wheelchair accessible. Central Methodist Church has an accessible lift to the concert area.

Wheelchair Spaces

All our venues can accommodate wheelchair users. Please contact us if you would like to notify us prior to an event that you require this.

Seating

We provide seating for all indoor concert venues. Please note there is no seating available at the Oxford Street Stage but you are welcome to bring your own fold-out seating if preferred. Please also note that the Unitarian Church has non-padded wooden pews and can be chilly. We strive to provide blankets if needed, but it is advisable to wear warm clothing.

Toilets

All our venues apart from the Oxford Street Stage, have access to an accessible toilet. On Saturday, visitors to Pollination Street can use the accessible toilet at Central Methodist Church. We provide additional Portaloo facilities, including an accessible Portaloo, at the Unitarian Church. The toilets at the Unitarian Church are gender neutral. Other venues may display gendered signs. We wish for everyone to use the toilet they feel comfortable in. Please use the washroom you prefer and please respect the choice of others.

Essential Companion tickets

If you require a complimentary Essential Companion ticket, please contact us at todmordenfolkfestival@gmail.com to arrange. The companion must be essential to the ticket holder’s visit to the festival and be capable of assisting the ticket holder in an emergency.

Hearing (Induction) Loop

Currently this is only available at St. Mary’s Church.

Dogs

Guide and hearing dogs are welcome at all our venues. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome at the Unitarian Church, St. Mary’s Church and Natural Endings (small dogs only please). Please keep your dog under your control and supervision at all times.

Children

Children are encouraged to attend any of our events. Please supervise your children at all times and for their safety, please make sure they do not access the stage area. Children under 5 do not require a ticket.

Parking

Limited parking is available at Todmorden Community College for ticket holders for the Ceilidh. There is also very limited, Blue Badge parking only, at the Unitarian Church. There are a few parking spaces available at Natural Endings. Please contact us to book in advance if needed.
